Hi dear friends, Today happened something I expected to happen long time ago. In the evening I found message that the room was deleted by the creator. I didn't wonder when I saw that because I had concerns about mail.ru security for a long time and even had conversation with chat administration. But their answer was short: no one gonna fix it this project is not supported anymore. First thing I tried to do was to restore the room or to recreate it, but when I click "Create new room" I get some script error that this is impossible action. So the idea is that most likely mail.ru is trying to close chat service starting from less active rooms. I will try during next 2- 3 days to restore it but if nothing work out we have an option: We can try to create room in the IRC as far as I know it provides quite an extensive set of settings for running different rooms. I expect some ideas and proposals. What do you think about IRC? Perhaps someone knows good and stable server? Lets discuss it on the forum.
Here it is. I'm greatly surprised and disappointed from what has happened to that chat service on mail.ru and not cuz as a ES member since 2008 but also as a moder of own chat room. Yeah, the administration was gonna do this long time ago but for some reason I didn't expect it to happen that soon or the idea will be forgotten. Now we r cut off from our free chatting envelopment which is not included in other chatting ways as messengers or other apps. It is like an isolation from some continent. There r various chat servises, sites and so on but this one on mail.ru has became a special for me. What I can suggest?! The IRC service is good but I dunno how much stable is that and what does it supports, actually never been chattin in any of irc's. Other moment, I was kinda hit by the idea to discover yandex.ru services and found out that it's possible to create a chatroom there. Again, I am not sure it it's actually chat that u can create or some clubs , forums etc, it's just another field to invistigate. Next: ppl have to occupy this site along with mail.ru if some one feels ok to keep another account. Finally, still waiting if there will be a solution to restore our ES if there will be any successful negotiation with mail.ru administration. As I saw in mail.ru complaints page, our room was not the only room which was deleted. If you speak Russian, you may read this - http://my.mail.ru/communi....&skip=0 Looks like chat.mail.ru project is barely alive and can be closed completely any moment. Personally I can't enter any existing room. Lets think about possible solution. I'm studying possibility to start IRC chat. First impression is that it can be a bit too sophisticated for non technical person and that can push away some people though this chat engine has quite an extended possibilities to manage the room. If we find some easy to use wrapper for IRC we gonna use it. I checked yandex and yahoo chat projects looks like they are stopped already. Any other ideas?

Read the community page, was LOLing with deep sad shades of regret and all. Looks like this server is so unstable that one day it may crash easily and those who kinda look after it don't care anymore. =/
Hello to all... That's really sad...They deleted all the room purposely ... Ok. Since they fixed(?) the problem, though restoring or creating option is simply disabled, now you can try to create video chat room...they still have this option...just room creator needs to have web cam installed... well thats better than nth...
Anyway if it doesn't work out, all the willing ppl can move on IRC...which is much better than that unstable, buggy, monopolist and out of date mail.ru!
